The 2024 theme asks all of us—friends, family members, neighbors, colleagues, community leaders, victim service providers, criminal justice practitioners, and health professionals—how we can help crime victims. Are you prepared if someone confides in you about a victimization? Is your organization victim-centered and trauma-informed? Are you familiar with the services available in your community?

•   10:00 - 12:00 PM: Workshop with Dr. Christine DiBlasio: "Fostering Resilience through Empowered Healing" 
•   12:00 - 1:00 PM: Lunch & Raffle 
•   1:00 - 1:30: Keynote by Dr. Christine DiBlasio 
•   1:30 - 4:00 PM: The 2024 Vermont Crime Victim Service Awards Ceremony
  •   The keynote and awards ceremony are both open to the public and no registration is required.

Dr. Christine DiBlasio

We are thrilled to announce that Dr. Christine DiBlasio, award winning victims rights expert and author, will be this year's workshop leader and keynote speaker. Dr. DiBlasio was recently named USA TODAY’s Woman of the Year for Vermont. Dr. DiBlasio is cofounder of the The Safety Team, which provides trainings and educational programs for survivors of violence and sexual assault.
