Vermont Human Trafficking Crisis Response Protocol
The first edition of the State of Vermont Human Trafficking Crisis Response Protocol is now available!
The Vermont Human Trafficking Crisis Response Protocol provides directions and contact information, should you come in contact with a potential victim of sex or labor trafficking. The protocol also includes descriptions of all local, state and federal agencies involved, whether as first responders or additional, supplemental responders. In this document you will also find Vermont's anti-trafficking legislation (Title 13, Chapter 60: Human Trafficking), options for international victims of human trafficking, and definitions of certain relevant terms.
Vermont's Human Trafficking Crisis Response Protocol was created by the members of the Vermont Human Trafficking Task Force. October, 2013 marks the first edition of this document. The protocol will be revised annually and will reside on the webpage of the VT Human Trafficking Task Force and in the list of state-based resources, on the Vermont Center for Crime Victim Services website. Collaborating agencies may also link to and/or post this document to their websites.
